Growing up, we frequently visited friends on a bay cottage. We passed

many cow fields on the way there, and danged if it wasn't true that if all the cows were standing up, then it would be a bright and sunny day. All laying down....rain for sure.

A mix of up and down? That same percent chance of rain.
